Psychiatrist | Yale University - Military Veterans

  1. Defines and documents patients' clinical problems and reaches proper diagnoses; plans and executes therapy in a timely manner; keeps records of care; provides consultation and teaching to residents. 2. Performs evaluations, crisis intervention, individual, group, family therapy and/or medication management as needed to meet the needs of client population and the clinic. 3. Utilizes a range of clinical interventions appropriate to the population while maintaining high levels of client satisfaction. 4. Participates in hospital coverage, including: rounds; weekday and weekend on-call rotations. 5. Acts as liaison to University Community and works directly with residential colleges and may work with Deans, masters and other staff on student issues. Required Skill/ability 1: Ability to work as part of a team. Required Skill/ability 2: Demonstrated clinical skills as attested by colleagues and supervisors. Required Skill/ability 3: Ability to support staff with leadership, teaching and team-building. Required Skill/ability 4: Strong communication skills. Required Skill/ability 5: Proficiency in the use of an electronic medical record (EMR). Preferred Education: Demonstrated experience in treatment of adolescent or college students. Demonstrated experience working in a college mental health service.
