Casual Staff Event Assistant Job No: 497303 Work Type: Staff Part-time, Temporary and/or Hourly Department: Institutional Advancement Location: Wilf Campus, 500 West 185th Street, NY, NY Categories: Events Position Summary: Yeshiva University's Institutional Advancement department seeks part-time event support for our Long Island division, working with the Senior Director of Institutional Advancement on fundraising and community-building events. Position Responsibilities: Managing event logistics on-site and remotely including but not limited to: Setting up a/v Connecting laptops and projection equipment Ordering food for the events Setting up the tables, food, and place settings for the events Ordering centerpieces and/or host/hostess gifts Registration check-in Handling funds Interfacing with event attendees Working with vendors Experience & Educational Background: Experience working with people Skills & Competencies: Good organizational skills Pleasant personality Hard-working Must have access to drive to multiple locations Salary Range: $25-$35 per hour About Us: Founded in 1886, Yeshiva University (YU) has a strong tradition of combining Jewish scholarship with academic excellence and achievement in the liberal arts, sciences, medicine, law, business, social work, Jewish studies, education, psychology, and more.
