Student Life and Development Specialist 3 University of California Riverside Job Number: 29485899 Full/Part Time: Full Time Schedule: 8AM - 5PM Salary: $54,200 - $93,200 Position Information Under the supervision of the Director of the Women's Resource Center, the Student Life and Development Specialist is a senior level program coordinator and student life and development specialist. Services may include providing resources for students, supervising student workers and volunteers, informal counseling, mentoring, assessment, as well as program development and implementation. Some evening and weekend work is required. The full salary range for the Student Life and Development Specialist is $52,100.00 - $89,700.00 annually. The expected pay scale for this position is $52,100.00 - $56,652.00 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs. Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff. As a condition of employment, you will be required to comply with the University of California SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) Vaccination Program Policy. Education Education Requirements Degree Requirement Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training. Required Master's degree. Preferred Experience Experience Requirement 4 - 7 years of related experience. Required Previous experience in training and supervising student staff. Preferred Minimum Requirements Special Condition Requirement Travel Required Travel Outside of Normal Business Hours Required Preferred Qualifications Thorough knowledge of Student Affairs/Student Life specialization. Skills in judgment and decision-making, problem solving, identifying measures of system performance and the actions to improve performance. Thorough knowledge of advising and counseling techniques. Abilities in project management, problem identification and reasoning skills. Ability to develop original ideas to solve problems. Strong knowledge of common University-specific computer application programs and knowledge of University and departmental principles and procedures involved in risk assessment and evaluating risks as to likelihood and consequences. Interpersonal skills including active listening, verbal communication, and written communication. Flexible and works well in teams. Provides recommendations, reports, and metrics on feasibility of new and current programs. Additional Information Knowledge of issues pertaining to feminism, leadership, empowerment, campus safety, social justice, student-parents, civic engagement, reproductive justice, and gender equity. Demonstrated ability to program, plan, organize, and manage time sufficiently to independently set priorities, coordinate, and complete several competing assignments with established deadlines.
