Position Title: AV Generalist Department/School: Media Center Salary/Pay Rate: $23.00 - $24.00 per hour Job Summary: Marist College invites applications for the AV Generalist position in the Media Center. The Media Center provides Audio Visual support for the College, specifically in the areas of classroom technology, events, and audio video production facilities. The AV Generalist is primarily technical in nature. They play a pivotal role for a tiered support model, one that begins at level-one (students), escalates to a level-two (AV generalist), and finally, when necessary, routes to a Technician, Specialist, or a Manager. The AV Generalist possesses competency in customer service, setting up and operating audio-visual equipment in classrooms and production facilities, troubleshooting and preventative maintenance, and AV support for events. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or Associates degree in a related field with at least 1 year of relevant experience or 3+ years of relevant experience Essential Functions: Maintaining best practices and supervising a student workforce in answering support calls or managing problem reports. Maintaining best practice and supervising a student workforce in processing equipment loans. Scheduling events request, reserving facilities, ordering supplies. Setting up and operating audio-visual equipment in classrooms and audio video production facilities. Participate in second line troubleshooting and preventative maintenance. Escalate all next level issues appropriate staff. Supporting events which require audio visual systems. Maintains accurate inventory assets. Other duties as assigned. Typical eligibility requirements: 1 year of service and 1,000 hours with Marist College. 403(b) Tax Deferred Annuity Roth option available. Voluntary, up to IRS maximum contribution. Tuition Benefits: Up to 16 undergraduate credits per semester. Up to 18 graduate credit per academic calendar. Eligibility extends to employee, spouse, and dependent children under age 26. College pays 100% tuition only. Eligible dependents may be Reimbursed up to $2,000 per semester towards tuition at another accredited institution. *Eligibility requirements including waiting periods and/or employee probationary periods may apply at the discretion of the College.
