Job Title: Material Handler

1st Shift: 8AM-5PM

Pay Rate: $21 Hourly

Location: Folsom, CA



Description:

Material handlers are responsible for managing the physical flow of materials within our warehouse and distribution center. They receive incoming shipments, verify contents, and store items in designated locations. Material handlers also fulfill orders by picking items from inventory, packing them securely for shipment, and ensuring accurate documentation of all material movements to maintain efficient inventory management practices.



Responsibilities:



  • Transport, unpack, sort, and track incoming materials

  • Record tracking numbers, part numbers, and serial numbers to identify materials in a Microsoft Excel spread sheet

  • Accurately count large shipments and store orders promptly.

  • Receive materials into the record keeping system.

  • Process material transactions in our ERP system to align with physical movements in labs and inventory.

  • Organize and store active inventory meticulously and safely, adhering to all safety protocols.

  • Fulfill customer orders by picking, packaging, and shipping items based on priority queues.

  • Disassemble, sort, and safely scrap unneeded or retired hardware as per customer instructions.

  • Inspect newly received materials for accuracy in quantity and damage assessment.

  • Register and scan new materials into databases for tracking purposes.

  • Support inventory organization and participate in audits as required by Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

  • Move materials around the lab and campus using roller carts and pallet jacks.

  • Prepare shipping declarations to authorize material shipments to off-site locations.

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy weights daily.

  • Standing 80% of the time, sitting 20% of the time.
