Marine Construction Supervisor - Military Veterans

Location: Project site, both US and international


Travel:  Projects require U.S. and International Travel


Schedule: Part Time Project-based ~100 Days a year, 8 – 12 Hour days on-site. 


Compensation:  $50/hr. - $55/hr depending on experience. Overtime, Straight Time.


Job Summary


This part-time role will be providing on-site supervision for marine construction projects and coordination with clients.  You will be a representative of PCCI and report to the project manager on all daily activities.  Examples of past and anticipated future projects include installation and maintenance of marine moorings, cables, hoses, hawsers and subsea sensors.  A strong understanding of safety protocols is required with the ability to work with the client technical representatives and Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO).  Veterans are encouraged to apply. Experience Qualifications 


 


·        Specific experience must include projects involving: mooring installations; pile orplate anchor operation; construction operations aboard both commercial or government construction vessels; diving operations; underwater inspections, vessel positioning operations; crane and winch operations, and personnel safety procedures.  


 


·        Specific managerial experience must include: direct supervision of construction crews and marine equipment operations including floating cranes, anchor handling boats, deck winches, cable handling machinery, welding and burning equipment.      


 


·        A minimum of ten (10) years of the required experience must have been shipboard in responsible charge of operations for marine construction, diving or salvage projects.   


 


Required Qualifications





  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Engineering.  Will consider exceptionally experienced candidates without degree



  • Citizenship: Eligible candidates must be able to access the work site on a federal installation and is therefore limited to U.S. citizens.



  • Security Clearance: Must be able to successfully complete a background check and be eligible to obtain a Secret Clearance.



  • Fifteen (15) years (post-degree) experience or twenty (20) years of professional experience in ocean construction projects.  



  • A minimum of eight (8) years of the required experience must have been in direct supervision of multi-disciplined marine construction labor forces, equipment and personnel for technically complex marine projects.
