Accountant III - Military Veterans

The Alakaina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) is looking for an Accountant III  to support our corporate office in Orlando, Florida . This position is 100% onsite.   DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintains financial records and ensures that financial transactions are properly recorded. Ability to read and interpret Government Contracts and Modifications Knowledge of indirect burdens and how they are applied to incurred costs Has overall responsibility for overseeing assigned accounting functions. Collaborate with lower-level accountants and clerical level staff. Other duties as assigned. REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: Preferred bachelor’s degree in directly related field. Associate degree required with at least four (4) years of professional level accounting is acceptable in lieu of bachelor’s degree. REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: Minimum of four (4) years directly related experience required. Extensive knowledge of accounting practices and procedures. Must be accurate in both processes and content. Proficient knowledge of Costpoint. Cognos knowledge is a plus. Government Contracting knowledge and experience is preferred. Knowledge of FAR and JTR is preferred.
