SALARY RANGE: Dependent on experience level ranging from $101,000 to $139,000.00

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education & Experience Required :


  • Master's degree and 5+ years accounting, budgeting, data analysis, and purchasing experience (Preferred) or;

  • Bachelor's degree and 10+ years accounting, budgeting, data analysis, and purchasing experience or;

  • Associate degree with 15+ years accounting, budgeting, data analysis, and purchasing experience

  • Working Knowledge of utility related, budgets, reporting & regulatory, accounting, purchasing

  • Understanding of Accounting and Tax Practices and Regulatory Impacts to financials

  • Familiarity with laws, regulations, policies, and ethics as they relate to cybersecurity and privacy.


Preferred Experience :

  • Advanced SAP and Excel abilities

  • Advanced Financial Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting experience

  • Advanced Regulatory knowledge and experience

  • Experience with purchases and budgeting on advanced technical systems and infrastructure


Skills/Abilities:

  • Advanced computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Office, Power BI, Teams/SharePoint, etc.)

  • Proven knowledge and experience with SAP and tools for budget control/availability, cost recovery, invoice investigation, purchase requisition and processing.

  • Demonstrated ability to follow-up and implement continuous process documentation/improvement; demonstrate communication proficiency and thoroughness.

  • Strong Teamwork orientation with ability to communicate verbally and written, across regions and management levels, adjusting communication style to ensure comprehension, and communicating complex ideas in easy-to understand ways.

  • Ability to lead others that may or may not be direct reports

  • Attention to detail and proven analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to simultaneously manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.

JOB SUMMARY:

Scope of Work - Main duties, settings, geography, reporting relationships, other relationships:

This Principal Cyber Financial Analyst position provides financial development, monitoring and tracking on programs and projects within the Cyber Assurance & Compliance department. This person will identify funding sources; projects cash flow requirements; maintain budgetary records for projects; compile actual project costs; performs financial, statistical, and comparative analysis of actual and budgeted costs. This position is a primary resource to lead, facilitate and coordinate efforts related to gathering, analyzing, and reporting the results of Cybersecurity Avangrid Networks financial goals and objectives, for both Capital and Operational Expenses.

Assume a leadership role in activities related to producing metrics and preparing reports, providing support, and potentially testifying for regulatory / legislative infrastructure, telecom and compliance initiatives as needed.

Provide support of cyber technical procurement related items, including the development of business case analysis, financial reporting, and budgets. Working with various project managers throughout the Organization to define, monitor and track Cyber related expenses for potential cost recovery.

May be asked to produce documentation to support various rate case inquiries and potentially provide testimony.

Requires in depth knowledge and experience in the SAP and iBuy software applications and works independently with minimal guidance to solve complex problems. Provides leadership support and guidance to others in the organization with less experience and drives effective work flows and process improvements.

Requires proven ability to identify, develop and implement new processes and procedures to increase efficiencies and accuracies in reporting of data/

Responsibilities include Budget development, financial planning and analysis through producing various cyber-related reports, general ledger, and financial statements and presentations for regulatory and management upon request. Includes Purchasing/ Procurement support, and

  • Prepares, records, analyzes, and reports accounting transactions and ensures integrity of accounting records for completeness, accuracy and compliance with accepted accounting policies and principles

  • Provides financial support and guidance including forecasting, budgeting, and analyzing variations from budget

  • Analyzes and prepares financial statements and reports to all Managers and Director

  • Prepares consolidation journal entries, on a timely and accurate basis for financial statements

  • Prepares, records, verifies, analyzes and reports accounts payable/receivable transactions

  • Creation of purchase orders for related projects and ongoing renewals.

  • Pays vendor invoices, and processes goods receipts on a timely basis

  • Maintains and reconciles accounts payable/receivable ledger accounts, financial statements and reports

  • Compiles and reviews the budgets for multiple OSG departments, taking into consideration actual performance, previous expenditures, and estimated expenses and income

  • Maintains accurate spending records and establishes measures for budgetary control

  • Presents to various areas for financials on projects and management

  • areas.


MAJOR ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Scope of work - range of responsibilities):


  • Responsible for developing, monitoring, and reporting critical operational, productivity & efficiency metrics. Report results across the business areas and others as required. Responsible for identifying and analyzing financial performance gaps from established goals and work with Director, Managers and Supervisors to close gaps, recommend and implement repeatable quantifiable improvements to achieve target goals.

  • Develop and publish purchase and budget related performance dashboards for use by Management.

  • Participate and Lead project team's budget related items and assist with continuous improvement efforts.
