Essential Duties: The Department of Chemical Sciences at Bridgewater State University seeks qualified Part-Time Faculty for the 2022/2025 academic year, who are enthusiastic teachers and dedicated to working with undergraduates. The successful candidate may be expected to teach laboratory sections in our Principles of Chemistry I/II (CHEM 141L/142L), Survey of Chemistry I/II (CHEM 131L/132L), and/or Organic Chemistry I/II (CHEM 243L/244L) course sequences. The candidate may also have an opportunity to teach lectures in CHEM 131/132 or Chemistry in Everyday Life (CHEM 102). Candidates must demonstrate sensitivity to and understanding of students from diverse backgrounds with a wide range of abilities. Required Qualifications: Masters degree or higher in Chemical Sciences or related field required. Excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to teaching in an undergraduate setting are required. Candidates must also demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching and advising that enhances an environment of equity, diversity and inclusion. Preferred Qualifications: Teaching experience and Ph.D. preferred.
