Assistant Professor in Anthropology | Brown University - Military Veterans

Brown University's Department of Anthropology invites applications for a tenure-track position in socio-cultural anthropology at the rank of assistant professor. We seek a scholar whose research and teaching expertise center on population studies, broadly construed. This could include (but is not limited to) migration, reproduction, kinship/family dynamics, health/medical, development, or the environment. The successful candidate will be expected to participate actively in Brown's interdisciplinary Population Studies and Training Center, which has a programmatic focus on anthropological demography. Applicants should have a strong record of ethnographically grounded research, an innovative theoretical approach, clear plans for future scholarship, and demonstrated excellence in teaching.
