Sr. Windows System Engineer- SECRET CLEARED- Ft. Belvoir, VA - Military Veterans

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Sr Windows Systems Engineer to join a government consulting firm located in Ft. Belvoir VA (or Radford, VA). The Sr. Windows Engineer will be supporting the Army Edge Computing Capability (AECC) with ALTESS with Infrastructure efforts.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Government engineers on AECC architecture.


• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for Windows services.


• Manage Windows hosts, including patching and Active Directory tasks.


• Administer Windows-based VMs and AECC services, ensuring security and compliance.


• Troubleshoot Windows issues and perform OS upgrades.


• Provide on-call support for after-hours incidents.

Qualifications:

• Extensive experience with Windows Server and Active Directory


• Proficiency in automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).


• Strong communication and troubleshooting skills.


• 
  Certifications: Security+ or equivalent, Windows admin certification (MCSA, MCSE) or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire


•  DoD Secret (Fully Adjudicated), up to TS


• 
  Desired Skills: Familiarity with DoD STIGs and IAVM processes.

Compensation:

• Salary $155,000/ year **depending on experience**

• Schedule: 5 days/week onsite (may reduce to 3 days, but not guaranteed)


• Term: contract goes until 2028
