Position Overview:

Perform training and oversee operations activities as they pertain to production excellence.  Reporting to Fordyce Sales Manager so that production from the order placed until job is finished has been performed correctly and accurately. Must be diligent on record keeping and follow-through on any training that has been given.

 

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)


  • Monitor Safety from any/ all aspects of our work stream.

  • Provide Training to every driver for Ride-along trainings and SOPs for loading and servicing the customer.

  • Acts as a liaison between frontline workers and any other departments if needed.

  • Assists with planning and execution of any change in SOP’s moving forward.

  • Communicates with Management that our culture is strong and robust, recognizing and addressing any potential concerns.

  • Assist with any needs from adjoining departments ie: QC/ Sales/ Operations/ Fleet Maintenance

  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

  • Dependable and reliable attendance.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Knowledge/Skill Requirements


  • Strong written and oral communication skills, especially in training environments/sessions

  • Developed analytical and problem-solving abilities

  • Substantial interpersonal skills

  • Self-motivation and ability to work with minimal supervision

  • Priority emphasis and strong time management skills

Work Requirements


  • Must be 18 years in age or older.

  • Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screen and criminal background check.

  • Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as per company policy.

  • Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.

  • Must maintain current driver’s license that meets state requirements and

  • Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required.

  • Must be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary.

  • Individuals are required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated operations and production areas as stated by OSHA and/or MSHA.

Education/Experience


  • College Degree in a complementary program or 10+ Ready-Mix industry experience in a role similar to this position

  • Knowledge of our operations and all departmental aspects

  • Batching and Dispatching Experience a plus

  • QC / ACI Certification a plus – Will have to get certification if do not have currently

  • A CDL Class B License w/ Air Brakes

  • Previous supervisor experience

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Physical Requirements


  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; sit; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.

  • The employee is occasionally required to sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

  • The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception. Work may occasionally require working at heights.

 

Work Environment


  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to wet, humid condition airborne particles, and extreme heat or cold.  The employee is occasionally exposed to vibration.

  • The noise level in the work environment is occasionally very loud and may require protective equipment.
