Job Summary:

Work with production personnel by receiving incoming product, weighing out shipments, weighing out railcars, processing paperwork on products, inspecting scales to ensure they are draining properly, verifying the need for scale cleaning and reporting scale irregularities, and entering data into reporting spreadsheets for production; and other duties as assigned by management.

Responsibilities & Duties:

Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, work with production personnel by receiving incoming product, weighing out shipments, weighing out railcars, processing paperwork on products, inspecting scales to ensure they are draining properly, verifying the need for scale cleaning and reporting scale irregularities, and entering data into reporting spreadsheets for production; and other duties as assigned by management.

Qualification: Candidates will have a High School Diploma or GED

Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Math Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up 60 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts; in high,and is frequently exposed fumes or airborne particles; petroleum products; toxic or caustic chemicals; electric shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.
