Job Summary and Qualifications


  • You will be responsible for providing direction and oversight as a subject matter expert of the concurrent denial tracking and prevention to the market within the Far West Division and will assist the facilities by initiating a proactive approach to reduce denial volume by applying root cause analysis, action planning, strategy and process implementation

  • You will interact with Division and facility leadership, payers, contracting, physicians, auditors, the SSC (shared service center), as well as any other departments to facilitate communication and actions related to the denial management processes and reporting


  • You will conduct trend analysis from various data sources such as denial reports, audit results, SSC reports, and other information to assist in identifying gaps and developing program components to mitigate the identified gaps and serve as a subject matter expert and serves as an internal consultant to market facilities and physician offices in denial prevention

  • You will identify education opportunities with the market/facility and assists with communication required for intervention and provide leadership to and actively participate with, facility staff to identify, implement, or enhance denial prevention programs consistent with division strategies

What qualifications you will need:

  • BS / BA preferred, or significant experience as a subject matter expert in Denial Prevention


  • You must have a working knowledge of the revenue cycle for patient accounts and accurate billing process- normally acquired through 5 years of experience in Patient Access and/ or an understanding of Case Management and the Utilization Review process

  • Comprehensive knowledge of practices and techniques of revenue cycle pertaining to insurance reimbursements and patient account billing is required


  • The ability to create visual presentations from data analyzed and strong problem solving skills are required


  • Current working knowledge of non-governmental and governmental payers, and contracted language, including NCDs and LCDs and knowledge of the Target Probe & Educate process is required

  • Strong working knowledge of Excel and ability to create pivot tables for data analysis required

  • Working experience with Power Bi preferred

  • Travel:  Must be able to travel frequently between facilities within the Las Vegas market as needed as a collaborative response to the job description
