The Wealth Institutional Advisory Solutions (WIAS) Group consists of Divisional Wealth, Institutional/ Foundations and Endowments, Corporate Trust and Escrow Services, Strategic Client Group, Wealth Advisory Support, Wealth Omni, Wealth Lending and Deposits, International Wealth Management and the Legal, Medical, Sports and Entertainment Groups. The Business Planning consultant works within a team of one or more wealth analysts to support sales execution, business administration, and advisor effectiveness to multiple leaders within WIAS.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following is a summary of the essential functions for this job.  Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below.  Specific activities may change from time to time.


  • Support the development and execution of multiple business plans and initiatives related to the strategies set forth within a multi-year strategic plan. Establishes short term (1 year) and long term (3 year) strategies to meet and exceed Truist financial goals and grow each business in existing and new markets

  • Active financial pipeline management with gap-to-goal-analysis across multiple national Lines of Business (LOBs)

  • Conduct business unit and individual advisor performance analysis, providing insight to a national team of advisors and executive leadership across multiple national LOBs

  • Identify and implement product and solution enhancements to enable growth within WIAS businesses

  • Conduct business process analyses, needs assessments, and preliminary cost/benefit analyses, including independently managing projects with a financial cost impact up to $1M, in an effort to align solutions with business initiatives

  • Works independently to draft deliverables/work product, enhance current reporting processes, and establishes new, to provide greater insight to the businesses while mitigating risk while independently managing these activities that have a direct relationship with the WIAS strategy and annual priorities.

  • Acts as a liaison between functional business partners, LOB advisors and executive leadership

  • Consults with business leaders on the development of policies, processes, and practices in such areas as personnel, business performance, and organizational design

  • Identifies and implements whitespace initiatives for new revenue streams while seeking opportunities for efficiencies that result in cost savings across multiple national LOBs 

  • Leverages high degree of project management and organizational skills to effectively manage multiple and sometimes competing priorities

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience in a relevant field

  • 5 or more years work experience in the industry, working with specific analytics tools relative to the work area

  • Complex, in-depth understanding of the business unit's functioning and relationship with other line of business and functional partners

  • Demonstrated ability to independently synthesize and draw conclusions from variant information sources

  • Demonstrated excellence in analysis, leadership, change management, project management, negotiation, persuasion, directing others, and communication

  • Exemplary analytical and problem solving skills, including well-defined financial analysis capability 

  • Exemplary time management and professional acumen

  • Expert understanding of Wealth and general financial industry trends, as well as an understanding of the legal and regulatory framework in which Truist operates

Preferred Qualifications:


  • 7 or more years work experience in the industry, working with specific analytics tools relative to the work area, including MS Office and industry-specific software/systems

  • MBA, CFA, PMP or CFP designation 

  • Wealth experience
