Your Impact:

• As a member of the Technical Training team, you will be responsible for preparing and delivering technical courses for the Illumio platform in various formats (onsite, online, and hybrid), to clients/partners/employees
• You will collaborate with the training team in developing training curricula and classroom agenda
• You will work on the continuous improvement of training content, lab environments, lab exercises, presentations, and supporting materials
• You will work with cross-functional departments, to ensure that training content is current and make necessary revisions
• You will consistently enhance technical training delivery and presentation skills
• You will constantly develop and maintain a deep knowledge of Illumio's products
• International travel is likely and should be considered as expected

Your Toolkit:

• University degree in computer science, informational technology, engineering, mathematics or related fields, or equivalent experience preferred, with 5+ years of experience as a technical trainer
• Experience conducting virtual or in-person classroom training in the technology sector for enterprise customers
• Strong understanding of routers, switches and network security architecture, access lists and firewall rule writing
• Clear understanding of data security in cloud environments
• Proficient with Linux, Windows servers, other operating systems, server virtualization, internet protocols (HTML, XML, HTTPs, SSL), public key infrastructure
• Experience with enterprise-level application implementation
• Excellent client-focused demeanour with the ability to present to various levels of customer organizations, from practitioners to architects to C-Level executives
• Motivated to solve practical business problems with client-centric solutions
• High attention to detail
• Strong organizational, problem-solving and systems analysis skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Enjoy learning new technologies, applications, and systems
• An enthusiastic self-starter with a commitment to learning, customer empathy, and team communication
• Ability to leverage past experiences to promptly and decisively meet customer needs, maintaining the highest level of customer satisfaction as Illumio strives for excellence

Plus Factors:

• Development or scripting experience preferred. Knowledge of how to use APIs and methods a plus
• Experience with provisioning & automation tools
• Experience in providing professional services in the field of technology
• Knowledge of cyber-security with the zero-trust security model, risk-based security assessments and frameworks, and how breaches can spread within an environment
• Experience using an authoring tool such as Camtasia
• Hold a technical industry certification (ex. CISSP, CCSP, CCIE, AWS Certified Security Specialty Certification, Microsoft Certified Azure Security Engineer Associate, Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist, etc.)
