Group Leader Scan and Control Electronics - Military Veterans

Introduction to the job

Would you like to lead a group of talented electronics engineers and be part of the development of the latest and most advanced e-beam inspection and metrology equipment for semiconductor applications?  We are looking for a group leader to manage a team of Scan and Control Electronics group consisting of about 10 engineers with the focus on high performance high bandwidth scanning drivers design, high speed image data acquisition, processing and distribution, and e-beam scan and control system design.

Role and responsibilities


  • Develop competence of your employees including determine Skills Knowledge and Attitude (SKA) gaps and have a high quality Development Action Plan in place

  • Support People Performance Management - assign targets to employees, give feedback, have regular routines with employees, a mid-year review dialogue and a final appraising.

  • Maintain and lead the team to be responsible for scanning drivers, data acquisition, process and distribution and scan and control system functions and corresponding building blocks

  • Align and staff projects with necessary resources in quantity, quality and competence

  • Guarantee the quality of the deliverables of your resources

  • Align with project leads and function architects on program issues, risks, scope changes and key decision inputs

  • Ensure availability of competent resources and assign them to the proper projects

  • Define priorities in the projects, together with the project leaders and function architects and align these with the program

  • Review project plans together with project leaders and function architects and proactively support project realization

  • Provide knowledge, people, and methods needed to study and evaluate technical solutions across different projects and platforms within own functions

  • Provide technical roadmaps for functions and building blocks, align with system engineering roadmaps to fit the product roadmap, define the performance budgets for the functions, initiate feasibility studies, supplier choice and development

  • Design and produce technical specification documents and doc trees belonging to the functions and the building blocks

  • Drive improvements on processes and ways of working

  • Adhere to agreed ways of working and standards

  • Identify bottlenecks and drive improvements in both process and technology

  • Quality of technical solutions applied in building blocks, concerning the functions and its interfaces

  • Support the department with strategical choices and roadmapping

  • Develop suppliers and work with suppliers for a timely delivery of scanning and control modules and building blocks with good quality.

Education and experience

Education

Master’s degree or above in electrical engineering or related field

Experience


  • Minimum 8 years of relevant people management experience

  • Minimum 8 years of relevant work related experience with a Master’s degree.

  • Experienced in mentoring, coaching and motivating employees, and growing team’s competences.

  • Demonstrated experience in leading new product introduction

  • Experienced in leading complex electrical system development

  • Experienced in working with global teams

  • Knowledgeable in digital electronics, data acquisition, process and transfer, and high performance dynamic drivers with hands-on experience.

Other information


  • May need to work in an electrical lab routinely for up to 50% of work time.

  • May require international and domestic travel up to 15% of work time

  • Routinely required to sit; walk; talk; hear; use hands to keyboard, finger, handle, and feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, and stretch. Occasionally required to move around the campus.

  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.

  • Occasionally work in a clean room environment.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

The current base annual salary range for this role is currently:

$184,125-306,875

Pay scales are determined by role, level, location and alignment with market data. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of several factors that that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, relevant education and experience, certifications, abilities of the candidate and pay relative to other team members.


The Company offers employees and their families, medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are able to participate in the Company’s 401k plan. Employees will also receive eight (8) hours of vacation leave every month and (13) paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
