The Opportunity

We are seeking a Hiring Conflicts Clearance Junior Analyst to join our Firm. Within this position, you will be responsible for assisting with the conflicts clearance process for professional staff and more junior legal hires on a Firm-wide basis. This position will be based in our New York office and has a hybrid in-office/remote working schedule. Please note that the Firm will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position.

As the Hiring Conflicts Clearance Junior Analyst you will:


  • Assist with the conflicts clearance for professional staff and more junior legal hires.

  • Set up new accounts for prospective candidates in the Prior Work Experience (PWE) system.

  • Maintain spreadsheet to track current clearance status of all candidates.

  • Review resume and PWE form and follow up with candidate for additional information as necessary.

  • Notify Hiring Coordinators when their candidates have been processed and provide updates of their progress throughout the conflicts clearance process.

  • Provide a weekly list of new hires for exportation of PWE data into the conflicts database.

  • Provide latest updates on status of prospective candidates to all members of the Hiring Conflicts Clearance (HCC) group for an open discussion of progress during weekly meeting.

  • Communicate with candidate to ensure the accurate completion of the PWE form to ensure that conflicts can be run properly.

  • Submit requests for conflicts check to the Conflicts Department.

  • Review and analyze the conflicts reports for potential ethical and business issues.

  • Coordinate and facilitate the conflicts clearance process between the candidate and Hiring Coordinators.

  • Interact with Hiring Coordinators to provide progress updates of conflicts check status.

  • Draft waivers, ethical walls, and other documents for review.

  • Audit ethical walls currently in place on a quarterly basis.

  • Coordinate and follow up with attorneys with regard to issues.

  • Support and seek guidance from the HCC team in connection with the conflicts clearance process as needed.

  • Consult with attorneys in the Office of the General Counsel as needed.

  • Demonstrate effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills to facilitate effective work relationships with others.

  • Manage Firm resources responsibly.

  • Comply with and understand Firm policies and procedures.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of relevant Firm computer software programs, with the flexibility and skills to learn new and proprietary software programs such as the Hiring Conflicts Assistance Tool and PWE system

  • Demonstrate effective interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and in writing in communications with Firm attorneys and staff worldwide

  • Demonstrate close attention to detail

  • Ability to handle multiple projects and shifting priorities

  • Ability to handle sensitive matters and maintain confidentiality

  • Ability to organize and prioritize work

  • Ability to work well in a demanding and fast-paced environment

  • Ability to work well independently as well as effectively within a team

  • Flexibility to adjust hours to meet operating and business needs


Education and Experience :

  • Associate's Degree

  • Minimum of one year related experience utilizing Microsoft Office in a professional services environment

The starting base salary for this position is expected to be within the range listed under Salary Details. Actual salary will be determined based on skills, experience (to the extent relevant) and other-job related factors, consistent with applicable law.

Salary Details
$65,000 - $75,000
