Inventory Slotting Coordinator - Military Veterans

I. Job Purpose and Job Duties

The Inventory Slotting Coordinator is responsible for the execution of slotting initiatives and requirements. Working closely with the Inventory Slotting Analyst, this role is responsible for maintaining and coordinating all slotting processes in a cost-efficient manner. This position is responsible for the moving of product, as needed, to make room for new products efficiently utilize warehouse space and maximize efficiencies. Also working closely with the Inventory Control Coordinators to complete cycle counts and inventory investigations.

  • Complete Standard Work
    • Complete any safety and security review of the building inventory.
    • Empty Bin Audits
    • Primary Bin Assignment Audits
    • Bin capacity Reporting
    • Consolidation
    • Standard work checklist and actions to be completed daily and reported up to the Supervisor/Manager
  • Create slotting initiative timelines, objectives, and resource requirements.
  • Lead project teams through slotting initiatives ensuring time commitments, accuracy, and efficiency goals are achieved.
  • Prepare a slotting change communication identifying the rearrangement of products.
  • Maintain and coordinate all slotting processes in a cost-efficient manner.
  • Assist with the maintenance of material master to ensure the accuracy of primary bin assignment, pick path, DIMS, and Cycle Count Indicator.
  • Determine warehouse placement of all incoming merchandise and ensure that merchandise is slotted before receipt.
  • Conduct cycle counting, recounting, auditing, research, and adjustments to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Work closely with Inventory Slotting Analyst, backing up key areas of responsibility as needed.
  • Leverage voice of the customer data to implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Conform to appropriate equipment operation rules and procedures.
  • Observe all safety rules, regulations, and sanitation policies to reduce accidents, injuries, and equipment damage.
  • Assist with creation, editing, and processing of work instructions.
  • Must be able to work overtime as needed with minimal notice.
  • Support compliance and implementation of process improvements with internal and external departments.
  • Support our Compliance and Quality Management System standards through auditing and communicating opportunities.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

II. Minimum Knowledge, Education and Skill Requirements

Required

  • HS Diploma or GED required
  • 3+ years of experience in a distribution/logistics/supply chain or production environment required.
  • Proficient with MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Demonstrable experience with SAP, or other WMS systems
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Ability to manage independent or team projects.
  • Ability to lead a team-oriented culture in a continuous improvement environment.
  • The ability to continually and easily adapt and adjust to changing priorities.
  • Familiarity with the KARL STORZ and other Medical Devises preferred.
  • Willingness and aptitude to operate power equipment.

III. Essential Function

  • Must be able to maintain productive working relationships and treat fellow employees with respect.
  • External communication: KARL STORZ colleagues as required and external vendors.
  • Physical requirement/Demands: Position requires constant and varying degrees of movement including standing, sitting, bending, walking, reaching, grabbing, and packing, lifting, pulling, and pushing. Must be able to frequently lift to 30lbs. Must be able to occasionally lift up to 100lbs with assistance Must be able to frequently use a warehouse ladder for reaching shelves. Must be able to operate a pallet jack.
