Job Description:

NOC Shift Lead

At GDIT a NOC Shift Lead provides operational leadership and oversight of transitioning solutions and changes to optimize service and implementing N&NC technical roadmap.

The Information Technology (IT) Enterprise Services (NITES) program effort is in direct support of North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD)/United States Northern Command (USNORTHCOM).

NORAD is a United States and Canada bi-national organization charged with the missions of aerospace warning, aerospace control and maritime warning for North America. Aerospace warning includes the detection, validation, and warning of attack against North America whether by aircraft, missiles, or space vehicles, through mutual support arrangements with other commands. NITES provides a full spectrum of enterprise IT services and management. Services provided will implement, among other DoD initiatives, zero trust at every level.

HOW A NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR ADVISOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT


  • Provides technical oversight and workforce direction of NOC personnel through network support activities including event management, network and system monitoring, network service status reporting, and problem management coordination, and facilitation.


  • Performs network monitoring and analysis of NOC data.


  • Assists with NOC reporting, problem management, and identification of network trends and improvement opportunities.


  • Interfaces and liaisons with all locations within the N&NC AOR, the CWOC, JOC, DISA, and other organizations as appropriate for all service outages, incidents, problems, and maintenance.


  • Participates in joint troubleshooting sessions between N&NC HQ, subordinates, and external organizations as required.


  • Provide status updates and reports until service restoration.


  • Contributes to the compilation, development, and delivery of NOC technical documentation and reporting deliverables such as Troubleshooting and Maintenance Procedures, Event Management Plan, and Major Incident Closure Report.



WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
Education: Technical Training, Certification(s) or Degree
Required Experience: 5+ years of related experience
Appropriately certified for their designated role in accordance with DoD 8140.01. Possesses a DoD 8140.01 approved baseline certification or higher.
Security Clearance Level: TS/SCI
Shall obtain and maintain a Computing Environment (CE) certification for the tool or device that accounts for the preponderance of its time: CCNA
Location: Peterson SFB, CO

The likely salary range for this position is $92,331 - $154,211. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
