Summary:  The Investment Team provides centralized insight for the Advisors and Firm on all aspects of asset allocation, portfolio construction, manager selection and due diligence, trading and capital markets assumptions, among other areas.  The Investment Team is hiring for a dynamic Assistant Vice President . This person will report either to the Head of Due Diligence or the Chief Market Strategist.  Intellectual energy and rigor are “have to haves” for this role.  As a key member of a critical team, the role will provide immediate exposure to external investment managers and internal investment expertise, to senior management supporting our Key Results, and to Advisors and their clients.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Provide support to the Chief Investment Officer, the Head of Due Diligence, the Chief Market Strategist and broader Investment Team.

  • Analyze existing and prospective managers and strategies both quantitatively and qualitatively.

  • Participate in manager meetings and Investment Committee meetings.

  • Support the firms M&A activity via facilitating the integration of investment platforms and model portfolios.

  • Serve as a resource to Advisors for a wide range of ad hoc investment requests.

  • Support Wealthspire’s Outsourced Chief Investment Officer offering with third party Wealth Managers.

  • Work with other functional areas (Client Operations, Data Operations, Technology, etc.) supporting organic growth and client retention.

  • Initiate and pursue ideas furthering our Key Results, increasing efficiency, and improving the client experience.

  • Support the one-off projects and research ideas of senior Investment Team members.

  • Be intellectually dynamic and want to learn.

Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities:

Education and/or Experience:


  • 1-5yrs of relevant experience working in a wealth management capacity, preferably at an RIA.

  • Relevant experience working in a wealth management capacity, preferably at an RIA.

  • Completed or pursuing CAIA, CIMA, or CFA .

  • Bachelors’ degree or higher; major in finance, economics, engineering, math, data analytics or a quantitative discipline preferred.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; experience with a third-party manager diligence tool (eg, Morningstar Direct, Bloomberg etc.) is a plus.

What We Offer:

NFP and Wealthspire Advisors is proud to offer a competitive salary, PTO & paid holidays, 401(k) with match, exclusive discount programs, health & wellness programs, and more. Our PeopleFirst culture focuses on building and nurturing lifelong relationships with our employees because, at the end of the day, we exist to be there for others. The base salary range for this position is $105,000 – $175,000. The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
