Requisition Number: S_240625 Department: Scholarship & Financial Aid-0958 Description of Work: The Financial Aid Data Systems Manager is a vital member of the financial aid operations team, responsible for extracting data from the student information system and generating reports to support various stakeholders. Key responsibilities include extracting and reviewing scholarship and financial aid data to generate reports for internal/campus use, such as college and office scholarship reports and queries and summer awarding reports and assist with reporting for the Common Data Set and Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System ( IPEDS ) as well as other ad-hoc reports, as needed. This position will also play a key role in fulfilling requirements for Financial Value Transparency and Gainful Employment reporting and participate in the testing and implementation of new or revised functionalities within the Oracle/PeopleSoft student information system, providing feedback to the Senior Associate Director. Additional responsibilities may include other assigned data needs and duties to support the successful operation of the financial aid office. This position will learn and utilize coding, software and other computer language skills to write queries to extract data from the student information system (such as: WebFocus reporting tool, Oracle/PeopleSoft student information system, Oracle/PS Query, and/or systems and data reporting). This position will work with others, communicating effectively and building and maintaining positive working relationships within and outside of reporting lines The position will serve multiple stakeholders as part of a systems or information team. Minimum Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree plus 2 years with financial aid data, related higher education administration, or relational database system experience required. Attention to detail. Strong analytical skills. Demonstrated ability to work independently and effectively multi-task in completing work assignments. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills essential. Proficiency with computer software in word processing, spreadsheets, and relational database. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a college or university financial aid office or comparable setting preferred. Demonstrated query/report writing experience preferred. Oracle/PeopleSoft or Webfocus experience preferred. Posted Salary: $50,000/yr. minimum Job Type: Full-Time
