Job Summary

 

In this role, the VP Talent, Learning and Development will lead and support the development and effectiveness of the Americas Talent and Learning & Development programs to meet the organizations current and future talent needs.  This role will enable the organization to design and implement comprehensive learning & development and talent management initiatives, leading the strategic functions of performance management, learning and development, leadership and team assessments, external coaching practice, and talent management, including talent reviews and succession planning.

Cultivating Talent and Culture

 

Leverage subject matter expertise, project management skills and strategic thought to drive internally facing initiatives by:


  • Collaborates with the Americas CHRO, Global Talent Team and Americas businesses to shape and implement strategies to develop and retain high-performing employees.


  • Proactively support and engage business leaders and HR partners on Talent Management and Development initiatives.


  • Create and maintain a Learning & Development strategy that aligns with organizational goals and objectives.


  • Lead the Learning & Development team by providing direction, guidance, and support.


  • Evaluate and improve existing training programs and develop new ones to meet changing organizational needs.


  • Support Talent programs and initiatives by designing project plans, target dates for deliverables, tracking and communicating progress, facilitating meetings with internal stakeholders, and ensuring smooth execution of timelines.


  • Provide professional expertise and support in the design, development and implementation of the talent review process that is required to achieve business goals and results in the creation of an internal bench of top talent.


  • Operates as a central resource for team projects including communication, training & materials creation, and talent insights.


  • Support the Talent Review process for CRH Americas employees including the creation of processes, resources, system utilization, training of HR professionals and leaders to ensure leadership continuity.


 

 

Job Requirements

 


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.  Masters in organizational development or similar preferred.


  • Minimum of 10+ years in Talent Management/Talent Development preferred or an HR role with heavy emphasis on Talent Management/Talent Development.


  • Experience managing and implementing organization-wide projects.


  • Experience with Korn Ferry competency set and SuccessFactors desired.


 

Work Requirements


  • Must have expert proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.


  • Must be 18 years in age or older.


  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.


  • Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.


  • Must be willing to travel up to 40%.

  • Strong relationship-building skills; proven track record of building collaborative partnerships with HRBP and business leaders.


  • Ability to build strong networks and effectively engage and manage stakeholders including the ability to drive, steer, convince and influence others.


  • Outstanding organization and project management skills with the ability to manage the delivery of high-quality, on-time programs in a dynamic environment.


  • Strong written and oral/expressive communication skills for meeting facilitation and deliverable development.


  • Strong customer focus and commitment to customer satisfaction through prioritization, quality, efficiency, and professionalism.


  • Results driven - demonstrates ownership and accountability and delivers on commitments.


  • Proven ability to perform effectively in a demanding environment with changing workloads and priorities.
