The Opportunity

This role is integral to the E-7A Wedgetail Program. The Trade Controls Integrator provides subject matter expertise to shape and integrate effective trade compliance plans and activities into Program execution. They deliver strategic guidance to posture for international growth and enhance a Program's trade compliance efficiency. You will learn our particular program requirements and work closely with various internal stakeholders and the Global Trade Controls (GTC) function on matters relating to the operational aspects of Australian export requirements, the ITAR/EAR, Foreign Military Sales (FMS), program planning and reporting.

Responsibilities


  • Provide operational guidance on a variety of trade compliance requirements, including program specific obligations under relevant authorizations for controlled technologies, including technical data, defence articles, and defence services.

  • In partnership with GTC, plan and conduct compliance assessments and objective testing for the program.

  • Support the implementation of corrective action plans to address any deficiencies or issues.

  • Identify opportunities and implement practices to increase the programs overall awareness of trade compliance.

  • Develop and deliver program specific trade compliance education and training.

  • Maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Experience/Qualifications


  • Knowledge of or exposure to global trade control (ITAR) practices.

  • Advanced communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to engage, influence and negotiate with a range of stakeholders.

  • Focus on process definition and compliance with attention to detail.

Eligibility

Applicants must be Australian Citizens and possess, or be capable of obtaining and willing to obtain and maintain, an NV1 Security Clearance.
