Sign-on Bonus UCSF is a national leader in newborn care. Our children's hospital in San Francisco has a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) devoted to providing the most advanced care available to critically ill infants. As a certified level IV regional NICUs, we are capable of providing all levels of newborn care, from basic to most intensive, and draw patients from across the region. Our San Francisco location, the William H. Tooley Intensive Care Nursery, was among the first NICUs in the world. The Nurse Practitioner is an independent member of the team, taking responsibility for the safe delivery of care for inpatient newborns. The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. For roles covered by a bargaining unit agreement, there will be specific rules about where a new hire would be placed on the range.
