Staff Associate I | Columbia University - Military Veterans

The Brickman Lab at the Taub Institute for Research on Alzheimer's Disease and the Aging Brain is currently recruiting a staff associate interested in neuroimaging and general study oversight. Primary responsibilities include study recruitment and coordination, MRI acquisition and analysis, and database quality control. After extensive training, the candidate should be able to independently acquire MRI scans at the Zuckerman Institute. The associate will be the liaison for a national single IRB research project and help establish, track, oversee, and monitor data acquisition, transfer s, and regulatory records across sites . The staff associate will attend regular team meetings to present on study progress and discuss any concerns. Some flexibility in work schedule should be expected. Minimum Requirement Bachelor's degree in specific research field and 4 years experience preferred. Additional Qualifications The successful applicant has a background in psychology, cognitive neuroscience, or related field. Previous experience in research data collection (particularly patient-facing imaging acquisition), subject evaluation, and study management including human research subjects is required. Must be able to prioritize assignments and work independently, but also collaborate effectively with the team. The ability to exercise sound judgement and discretion, maintain a high level of confidentiality, and meet internal and external deadlines is essential. Must be highly organized, enthusiastic, and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. We are looking for a proactive problem solver who genuinely enjoys working with people and is curious about the science behind what we do. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Past involvement in clinical trials and/or MRI studies in the field of aging and dementia would be useful. Experience with Apricot, LONI and iLab is an asset. Salary Range - $62,400 - $64,000 annually The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training.
