Planning & Delivery introduction:

Planning & Delivery (P&D) supports ASML’s growth trajectory, resolving challenges caused by strong growth in volume and complexity in our systems.

Within ASML, Planning & Delivery is an unbiased party, balancing demand and requests from customers against a stretched, however realistic view on our capability while also facilitating all good flows in a compliant and cost-effective way. This is done transparently and in close collaboration with all internal P&D interfaces, including all ASML factories worldwide.

Planning & Delivery (P&D) is a global sector consisting of four competences: 1) Strategy & Improvement, 2) Strategic Capacity Preparation, 3) Integral Demand & Supply and 4) Delivery.

Over the years, Wilton Factory has grown tremendously and become pivotal in ASML’s factory output and field operations. The Planning and Delivery team is establishing a regional head of P&D to represent Wilton within the Global footprint of ASML. This will allow ASML to benefit from local P&D presence while leveraging global P&D competence.

The Head of Delivery, Wilton, will report into the head of Planning & Delivery Wilton.

Purpose of the Job

The purpose of this role will be to ensure that all goods within the ASML network can be physically moved and stored in a compliant, timely and cost-effective manner. Ultimately meeting our customers’ needs and agreed upon SLA's.

You will manage and oversee Delivery processes for Wilton Factory.

You will lead a department of ~40 full-time employees in this delivery role, you will be managing and overseeing the global logistics network of Wilton Factory. This will include warehousing, 3PL (third party logistics), reverse logistics, re-use, service operations and cost control.

Locally, you will be a representative of Delivery in Wilton for the Wilton Strategic Sourcing and procurement community, as well as the Wilton manufacturing community.

Role and Responsibilities


  • Management and oversight of ASML’s global logistics infrastructure for both field and factory physical movements in a cost-effective manner


  • Building a growing and best-in-class warehousing, freight, re-use and logistics competence center that supports the global ASML organization in a compliant manner.


  • Manage local 3PL relationships, supporting in negotiations for warehousing and logistics contracts in close collaboration with global headquarters in Netherlands


  • Set up, operate and manage compliant and efficient transport infrastructure and warehouse network/operations with 3PLs that can support future volumes in a sustainable manner


  • Work together with executing sectors to drive global harmonization and structural improvement projects


  • Support in the new product introduction process to ensure compatibility with transport modes in the future.


  • Seamlessly manage Freight & Customs, Warehousing, Re-Use Operations and Cost Control



Education and experience


  • 5+ years’ experience in managing global supply chain network, overseeing logistics and warehousing operations and managing 3PLs (third-party logistics)


  • Experience in internal and external warehouse management of large teams and worked with logistics providers.


  • Extensive experience with air cargo industries


  • Experience in transformation management and/or major improvement projects. Example: WMS (warehouse management systems) implementation


  • Deep understanding of latest developments and best-practices in management of warehousing and logistics operations


  • Experience with complex supply chains with strong engineering focus.


  • Experience hiring and developing a multi-disciplinary team


  • Ability to inform and influence senior stakeholders


  • Experience working in matrix organization with regional and global responsibilities


  • Background within the Semiconductor industry is preferred.


  • Educational Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or 9+ years of equivalent relevant job experience required, Masters Preferred
