Full Time Kitchen Manager

Job Summary:

The Kitchen Manager will supervise daily kitchen operations. Kitchen Manager responsibilities include supervising food preparation, cooking, maintaining a fully stocked kitchen inventory and complying with safety and cleanliness standards. This position may include working some weekends and holidays.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Manage kitchen staff to include hiring, scheduling shifts and monitoring inventory levels, order food supplies and kitchen equipment as needed.
    • Coordinate food orders.
    • Check food plating and temperature.
    • Establish portion sizes.
    • Train kitchen staff on prep work and food plating techniques.
    • Store food products in compliance with safety practices (e.g., in refrigerators).
    • Maintain sanitation and safety standards in the kitchen area.
    • Monitors kitchen operations to ensure compliance with health and fire department regulations.
    • May be required to drive to pick up supplies
    • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:


  • Proven work experience as a Kitchen Manager, Restaurant Manager or Head Chef (minimum experience of three years).

  •  Hands-on experience with planning menus and ordering ingredients.

  • Knowledge of a wide range of recipes and diets such as Atkins, Pescatarians, etc. 

  • Familiarity with kitchen sanitation and safety regulations. 

  • Excellent organizational skills. 

  • Conflict management abilities. 

  • Ability to manage a team in a fast-paced work environment. 

  • Flexibility to work during evenings and weekends. 

  • ServSafe Certification required

  • Satisfactory references from employers and/or professional peers.

  • Satisfactory criminal background check including Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)

  • Satisfactory drug screen

  • Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.

  • Maintain an acceptable driving record in accordance with BayMark’s insurance carrier.

  • Must have own transportation, with current auto liability and maintain the minimum auto liability insurance required by the State (Provide copy to HR upon hire and annually prior to expiration.




Salary Range:    


    

Generally starting at $47,760.00 annualized.

The salary of the candidate(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, experience, education, specialty, and training.
