The purpose of this asynchronous online program is to develop professionals aspiring to take on leadership, policy, and advocacy roles in the field of early childhood. This position will begin in August 2025 . Primary Responsibilities: Develop and instruct online graduate courses focused on leadership, policy, and advocacy in the early childhood field. Supervise masters students culminating research projects. Assist in promoting program growth and sustainability. Maintain an active research agenda (research, grants, and publications) Participate in research and teaching professional development activities. Provide leadership and service to the department, college, university, community, and profession. Supervise student internships in community-based programs or agencies focused on early childhood leadership, policy, and advocacy. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: Doctorate (Ph.D. or Ed.D.) in Early Childhood Leadership, Policy, Advocacy, or other closely related discipline from an accredited institution, with academic expertise in early childhood organizational and/or leadership development, advocacy and/or early childhood policy. ABD candidates may be considered, dependent upon the projected date that the doctorate degree will be conferred. Preferred Education, Knowledge, Skills & Experience: Preference will be given to candidates with: Experience in early childhood leadership or administration, policy, and/or advocacy positions. Knowledge of national childcare and early childhood research, trends, policies, and standards. Successful college teaching experience and familiarity with current instructional technology and online teaching. Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with faculty and community partners and commitment to collaborative university and early childhood partnerships. Evidence of at least three years of successful experience working with/training/teaching adults in the early childhood field. Ability to teach online interdisciplinary courses cutting across multiple domains of early childhood, such as: Early childhood leadership, organizational development of early childhood programs; public policy and advocacy for children and families relevant to contemporary issues and trends in the field. Professional experiences working with or supporting staff in inclusive community settings with culturally diverse young children (birth through 5 years) and families.
