Technical Solutions Architect II SD-WAN & SD-Branch [REMOTE] - Military Veterans

QUALIFICATIONS: 


  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, elevating interaction with C-suite leaders and diverse teams.


  • Exceptional collaboration and presentation skills.  Must be able to “own the room”, demonstrated as the ability to develop compelling content, and deliver complex technical concepts to business and technical decision-makers. 

  • Must be proficient at authoring blogs or opinion articles, technical papers, and engaging technical PowerPoint presentations capable of providing education, consultation, and valuable advice to stakeholders.

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in enterprise networking environments, with increasing levels of responsibility in deployment, administration, engineering, and optimization of complex environments.

  • At least 3 years of pre-sales experience supporting enterprise network architectures, with a focus on go-to-market solutions development, sales messaging, and internal enablement.

  • Strong understanding of routing and SD-WAN technologies from Cisco, Cisco-Meraki, Aruba, Versa, and Fortinet. Familiarity with controllers, and management systems, and an ability to compare and contrast the value provided by each of the OEM’s, as it applies to unique client verticals.

  • CCNP-level route/switch knowledge and multi-cloud networking knowledge

  • Knowledge of cloud computing, VMware virtualization technologies, and software-defined networking.

  • Ability to design technical architecture and develop related collateral for pre and post-sales activities.

  • Self-motivated with a commitment to continuous education and maintaining multiple OEM certifications.

  • Excellent analytical, written, time management, and interpersonal skills.

  • Automation skills are a plus.

  • Willingness to travel up to 40% as required.

What will you be doing? 

 

World Wide Technology, Inc. (WWT) is seeking a talented Technical Solutions Architect with expertise in large-scale SD-WAN and SD-Branch design, and pre-sales activities. As a member of our Campus and Branch Networks team, within WWT's Global Solutions and Architecture organization, you will play a pivotal role in go-to-market (GTM) collateral development, customer engagement, and OEM technical partner management.

 

In this role, you will be responsible for GTM and industry thought leadership content development, as well as developing and leading technical workshops across customers and internal teams on all areas of SD-WAN and SD-Branch architectures, management platforms, OEM licensing, and overall solution value. Additionally, the TSA acts as an interface to our manufacturers and partners in the industry to understand their products and build that information into playbooks and other actionable resources for our sales and technical teams to consume.  The primary OEM focus will be on Cisco, Cisco Meraki, Aruba/Silverpeak, Versa, and Fortinet.

 

A significant aspect of the role is related to creating and maintaining relevant technical and enablement content to showcase thought leadership, OEM strategy, and solution value to internal and external teams. You will be expected to work cross-functionally across diverse teams to create complex multi-domain solutions and work with the relevant groups at WWT to ensure we are ready to support those solutions in the marketplace.

 

Finally, the role also collaborates with marketing and other teams to drive market data for the relevant technologies, with the goal of understanding industry trends and their overall impact on WWT and our customers' businesses.

 

Responsibilities:


  1. Technical Leadership and Consultation: Provide pre-sales technical leadership to customers and internal teams, offering guidance on all aspects of SD-WAN, SD-Branch and SASE/SSE architectures. Act as a trusted advisor, building strong relationships and collaborating with strategic customers to drive growth in the WWT Campus and Branch practice.

  2. Briefings, Workshops, and Demonstrations: Develop and deliver engaging briefings, workshops, and demonstrations focused on SD-WAN, SD-Branch, and SASE/SSE integrations. Utilize WWT's Advanced Technology Center, PowerPoint, and collaborative video/media tools to showcase products, solutions, and thought leadership.

  3. Interface with Manufacturers and Channel Partners: Serve as the primary liaison between WWT and manufacturer's product management, channel technical, and sales roles. Gain in-depth knowledge of their products and integrate relevant information into playbooks and actionable data for account teams and customers.

  4. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with diverse teams to create complex multi-domain solutions. Collaborate with relevant groups at WWT to ensure readiness to support solutions in the marketplace and during customer OEM evaluations.

  5. Content Development and Collaboration: Collaborate with marketing and other teams to develop compelling content for WWT.com, WWT Research, and customer presentations. Contribute to thought leadership and effectively communicate the value of WWT's offerings.
