Casual Bartender - Military Veterans

Amentum is seeking a Casual Bartender located in the Williamsburg area of Virginia. The Bartender will provide attentive and friendly service to bar patrons and at catering events. Bartenders should have extensive knowledge pertaining to beer, wine, and liquor, and know how to mix a variety of specialty beverages. Bartenders are expected to engage with customers while always being aware of how much patrons are consuming and looking for signs that someone has had too much to drink. The bartender will also be responsible for balancing the cash register, taking inventory of stock, and assisting the Beverage Supervisor with placing orders as needed.

Job Requirements:

• Take beverage orders from customers in a quick and courteous manner.
• Mix drinks following a recipe and using an extensive range of ingredients including liquor, bitters, soda, water, sugar, and fruits.
• Provide a positive and friendly guest experience by interacting with patrons.
• Keep bar area clean, safe and organized.
• Maintain a well-stocked bar with an adequate supply of liquor, beer, wine, mixers, ice, napkins, straws, glassware, and other accessories.
• Organize the bar area to streamline drink preparation and inventory.
• Place orders for liquor, beer, wine, and other supplies.
• Slice, pit, and prepare fruit garnishes for drinks.

Minimum Requirements:

• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid Drivers License
• US or Naturalized Citizen
• Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
• Physical endurance to stand for an entire shift.
• Self-motivated and self-directed.
• Works well as part of a team and on individual tasks.
• Able to work days, nights, and weekends.
• Physically able to stand and move during the length of shift; able to bend and kneel through shift; able to lift up to 25 pounds or more.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification as a mixologist from a reputable bartending school preferred.
• 1+ years of experience working as a bartender.
• Must have valid government issued clearance at time of application
