Modeling and Simulation (M&S) Integration/Test Engineer - Military Veterans

The selected applicant will become part of an integrated contractor team as a Modeling and Simulation (M&S) Integration and Test Engineer supporting high fidelity/ high-resolution modeling of the Missile Defense System (MDS). This position involves hands-on support for Missile Defense Agency's (MDA) distributed software threat simulations used in the testing and training of MDA's tactical systems. Tasks include installation and configuration of the Model and Simulation software; troubleshooting and root cause analysis of anomalies and defects, and providing technical support during various MDA activities. In support of these tasks, the candidate is expected to adhere to current processes and procedures, participate in document reviews, attend limited meetings, provide status as requested, and collaborate with team members in person and electronically. Candidate will operate primarily out of a government facility supporting the Missile Defense Agency's Engineering Simulation program at Schriever Space Force Base, CO.

  • Daily participation on a team that develops and implements integration processes
  • Serve as a Test Engineer and technical representative to the government as needed
  • Ensure consistent test processes across M&S environments
  • Draft technical instructions, test plans, and other system integration related documents
  • Identify and support resolution of enterprise level, system of systems issues
  • Develop, Integrate and Test Missile Defense Scenarios and Test Cases
  • Troubleshoot Missile Defense Simulation Software Components
  • Design, Develop and Maintain Analysis Software Tools
  • Create and maintain user accounts
  • Perform hardware/software/network integration

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related technical discipline and a minimum of and eight (8) years directly related software integration experience
  • Demonstrated understanding of the Missile Defense System
  • This position requires the selected candidate have an active DoD Secret clearance

Required Skills:
  • Working knowledge of the Linux operating system (or other Unix variants)
  • Proficient in either Python, Perl or Bash/Shell Scripting languages
  • Basic understanding of C++, Java and/or other programming languages
  • Experience developing test plans and integration objectives
  • Experience in formulating and defining system scope and objectives based on user needs
  • Candidate must be a self-starter capable of working with minimal direction, and experienced in staff coordination
  • Must have strong interpersonal and analytical skills to work as a team player.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Capabilities/Experience:
  • Experience with hardware/software/network integration
  • Experience with troubleshooting hardware and software defects
  • Experience with Ballistic Missile Defense programs
  • Security+ and Linux+ certified
  • Test and Execution for the GMD System Trainer (GST)
  • System Test requirements for verification of new capabilities
  • Test Scenario development support

Salary Range - Colorado: $124,198-$138,375
