Job Summary:
Medical City Heart Hospital is seeking a cardiothoracic surgeon to join their established employed practice and growing service line.Qualified Candidates:
- Work with an experienced team of providers – 3 cardiothoracic surgeons and experienced Advanced Provider Practitioners in endo vein harvesting
- CVICU, two heart surgery rooms, strong perfusion, 2 dedicated hybrid-OR, and dedicated EP and Cath services
- Cardiac anesthesiologists with dedicated service
- Practice currently performs coronary revascularization, valve repair and replacements as well as broad based thoracic surgery. Several advanced cardiothoracic surgical programs, including TAVR, minimally invasive cardiac and robotic thoracic surgery, as well as aortic surgery and ECMO.
- The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
- Experience and comfort level with aortic disease, valve repair and replacement to include open and endovascular aortic procedures
- Experience with TAVR
- Minimally invasive lung surgery
- Knowledge and experience with advanced technologies to reduce the invasiveness of thoracic and cardiovascular procedure
- The ideal candidate will also demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively within the team of our growing program.
- Our interdisciplinary team includes cardiologists, anesthesiologists, surgical, RN and Critical Care staff to produce the highest possible quality and outcomes.

- 63-bed specialized adult Medical City Heart Hospital consists of 3 cardiac catheterization labs, 3 biplane EP/interventional catheterization labs, 3 dedicated cardiovascular operating rooms, 2 hybrid operating rooms with a 15-bed Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit and 48-bed Progressive Care Unit with 24/7 attending/NP coverage and a cardiovascular outpatient center
- Full range of adult interventional procedures performed exclusively by the ACHD team covering both campuses
- World class expertise in adult cardiac surgery, arrhythmia surgery, structural heart disease, cardiac transplantation and mechanical support
