Position Title: Auditor
Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $23/hr - $28/hr
Location: Downtown Columbia

Job Summary:
Join our Internal Audit team as a Professional Auditor, where you will assist in audit planning, execution, reporting, and follow-up tasks. This role involves working both independently and as part of a team to ensure audits are conducted in accordance with the Institute of Internal Auditors’ (IIA) International Professional Practices Framework (IPPF). This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates with a degree in Accounting or General Business who have some accounting exposure.

Key Responsibilities:
-Assist in completing assigned audit projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to the IIA’s IPPF standards.
-Document processes using narratives or flowcharts to identify top risks.
-Identify key controls within processes and assist in developing audit procedures to evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls.
-Execute audit procedures/test steps and accurately document related work papers to support conclusions reached.
-Develop test conclusions, draft findings and recommendations for inclusion in audit reports, and participate in exit conferences.
-Perform follow-up procedures for assigned action plans.
-Continuously develop knowledge of audit tools and techniques to ensure quality audit work.

Qualifications:
-Degree in Accounting or General Business with some accounting exposure through coursework.
-Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
-Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
-Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
-Willingness to continuously develop knowledge of audit tools and techniques.
