Work Schedule: 12:00pm - 11:30pm M-T-W-Th (evening assignment): 9:00 am - 6:00 pm M-T-W-Th-F (day assignment), or hybrid Day/Eve schedule as assigned

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

The Director of Education (DOE) will manage and direct Instructors and education teams to ensure they deliver excellent career education with a focus on preparing students for employment in the IT industry. The DOE provides day-to-day management of his/her assigned education team, including but not limited to Lead Instructors, Instructors, Lab Assistants, and PT Instructors. They will work with the Senior Director of Education to oversee the administrative functions, implementation of policies, and assist in developing strategic initiatives and long-term planning to achieve outcome goals.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conduct Instructor weekly one-on-one meetings and ensure that all students are reaching satisfactory academic progress at midpoint and graduation.
  
  


• Meet weekly with the Senior Director of Education to report and review the overall status of his/her instructors and students
  
  


• Track and manage student attendance, including communication with students who have attendance issues
  
  


• Address and resolve student and staff complaints
  
  


• Analyze student survey results and implement changes based on feedback from students
  
  


• Perform Instructor observations and provide feedback and coaching on an ongoing and regular basis
  
  


• Work with the Executive Director of Education Services to arrange and implement ongoing Instructor training
  
  


• Responsible for his/her education team meeting goals related to Certification, Retention, and Graduation
  
  


• Manage the constant progression and updating of instructor certifications to ensure they are current within compliance rules and regulations
  
  


• Manage and develop continuing education for Instructors when they arrive on campus to ensure they are adequately prepared to teach and coach students to success
  
  


• Create an atmosphere in which the company mission and passion for change lives are evident to all students and employees
  
  


• Contribute to the selection of new Instructors on your team
  
  


• Assist the Senior Director of Education in overseeing compliance and ensuring regulations and requirements for all regulatory bodies are always being maintained for the education department
  
  


• Coordinate and arrange coverage for educational employees during PTO and absences
  
  


• Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's Degree or a combination of education and experience
  
  


• A minimum of 3 years of in-class teaching or instructional supervision is preferred
  
  


• A minimum of 2 years of experience with Information Technology is preferred
  
  


• Salesforce experience a plus
  
  


• Consistent attention to detail
  
  


• Ability to think outside the box
  
  


• Some travel may be required: <20%
