As a key leader of the Cornell Laboratory for Accelerator-based ScienceS and Education (CLASSE) administration and finance support services team, act as the Manager of Budget, Finance, and Research Compliance, overseeing annual expenditures of approximately $50 million encompassing multiple and varied funding sources and compliance requirements. Oversee business and financial operations including research administration and compliance, account structuring and reporting, budgeting, annual effort certification, purchasing, and specialized processes associated with managing a highly complex research laboratory and matrix staff. Implement and ensure established practices, procedures and operating policies are consistent and compliant with University, local, and federal requirements. Interpret, implement, and serve as Laboratory's primary information source for financial policies and procedures. Direct the activities and supervise the staff within the CLASSE Regional Financial Service Center. Capable of adapting to the changing needs of a research environment. Able to receive directions and to communicate effectively across all research groups in the department. Work effectively and cooperatively within a team environment Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with 5-7 years of experience in Finance or equivalent. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Proven leadership skills. Effective customer service skills and ability to communicate with a broad range of people. Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. Able to work effectively under pressure, balance priorities, and demonstrate good judgment in accomplishing tasks. Experience in and/or demonstrated commitment to supporting diversity, equity, access, inclusion, and wellbeing. Experience connecting diversity, inclusion, and wellbeing practices to business goals. Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of Cornell systems including but not limited to Kuali Financial System, Workday, OBIEE, Longview, Capital Assets, and Space Inventory.
