Requisition Number: S_240609 Department: Athletics-0850 Description of Work: Responsible for the pool systems in the Nebraska Athletics buildings. This will include cleaning and checking pH levels of swimming pool and spa systems, float pods, hot and cold tubs. Also provide preventive maintenance and repair of all plumbing fixtures and drains, drinking fountains, shower and sink faucets, backflow preventers, soft water systems, and ice machines. Help with event and facility set up needs of Athletics facilities. Perform other building maintenance as needed and other duties as assigned by supervisor. Schedule must be flexible to accommodate services needed after building hours. Irregular hours and working in inclement weather may be required. Minimum Required Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalency plus 3 years experience working with plumbing fixtures, faucets, drain maintenance and other related equipment such as drinking fountains, backflow preventers, soft water systems, ice machines, etc. Experience with maintenance and power tools. Knowledge of building systems and construction including general building maintenance and safety standards required. Licensed pool operator or able to get within 6 months of hire. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with piping systems and complex equipment, heating/cooling systems, domestic and pure water systems, swimming pool systems. Posted Salary: $24.038/hr minimum Job Type: Full-Time
