Scope of Work:


KIRA Aerospace is currently looking for a Janitor to join our team at the White Sands Complex (WSC) located in Las Cruces, NM. The White Sands Complex is comprised of two large satellite communications buildings with several ancillary support structures. This position is assigned to the Facilities M&O Department.


 


Responsibilities:



  • Wet/dust mopping

  • Vacuuming

  • Emptying trash

  • Cleaning restrooms

  • Stripping/waxing and buffing of hallways and floor surfaces

  • Washing windows 

  • Must be able to perform duties with minimal supervision and perform duties consistent with this classification as assigned with limited supervision. 

  • Must be able to pass a physical examination as determined by the physical examination requirements for the Job Classification. 

  • Must be able to meet the requirements for Job Classification certification, as identified in the Job Requirements Checklist. 


Minimum Requirements:



  • Have 3 years’ experience as a janitor in a commercial/industrial environment. 

  • Have a High School Diploma or GED.

  • Possess good written and communication skills.



  • This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement with the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers.  As a federal enclave, membership in the union is required.
