Domestic Tax Intern (Year-Round, Onsite) - Military Veterans

This role is up to 20 hours per week during the academic schoolyear and 40 hours per week over the academic summer break. Targeting a start date in August or September 2024. Location can be either Santa Clara, CA or Austin, TX.

Applied Materials’ is searching for an intern to join our team! The intern will work part-time during the school year and full-time over summer breaks. Responsibilities of the intern will include the following:


  • Perform research and calculations required to complete a variety of tax compliance, planning and forecasting duties

  • Assist the Tax department in preparation of sales tax, property tax, federal and state income tax and international transfer pricing calculations

  • Provide audit support and project support as needed

  • A candidate will possess strong written and verbal skills, and be proficient in Excel and Word

Requirements


  • Student must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree program in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

  • Sophomore candidates preferred

  • Student must be in good academic standing at their university, with a preferred GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale

  • Quick learner

Compensation
$22 - 25 per hour
The rate offered to a selected candidate will be based on a number of factors including location and education level and will vary depending on confirmed job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
