Technical Support Engineer Installer - Military Veterans

at Amentum

Amentum/Delta Bridge requires casual CONUS Technical Engineering resources to provide survey, installation, and configuration assistance for a Wireless Intrusion Detection System at a classified customer location in Northern Virginia. Work will be on a casual basis, as the installation schedule is fluid, with 3-4 weeks of work every 2-3 months. Schedules will be arranged weeks prior to actual installations.

Responsibilities

  • Engineers will be responsible for antenna/bracket assembly, installation above drop-ceilings, pulling and terminating ethernet cables, and potentially transporting equipment between buildings.

  • Executing tasks in accordance with all applicable Amentum safety standards.

  • Performs work in an environment that has a mix of business hours, and after-business hours, depending on customer building availability.


Required:
  • Prior experience with current installation procedures, including potential conduit bending and installation is preferred.

  • This work will require climbing step-ladders up to approximately 10 feet

  • A minimum of one to two years experience

  • Superb analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Great interpersonal, communication, and collaboration abilities.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Must an active TS/SCI with poly level clearance.
