Job Summary and Qualifications

The RN Med Surg./Tele Clinical Support Supervisor supports high quality, patient-centered care by autonomously directing, and providing feedback, guidance, and mentoring to new graduate nurses and/or nurses that are transitioning to a new specialty. The Clinical Support Supervisor supports multiple units. The Clinical Support Supervisor provides direction, accountability and education on the hospital’s standard of nursing practice, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with all accrediting and regulatory agency requirements. 

What you will do in this role:

• Performs rounds on each nursing unit.


• Observes and assesses the quality of patient care being delivered.


• Identify nursing educational needs.


• Escalate concerns about nursing skills, patient care, policies, processes, and equipment as appropriate. 


• Ensure that nurses within scope of support have a clear understanding of how to integrate patient experience into nursing practice. 

What qualifications you will need:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, required


• Master’s Degree in Nursing or related field, preferred


• Minimum 3+ years’ experience as an RN


• 1+ years’ experience in leadership role, highly preferred


• 1+ years’ experience as a preceptor, preferred


• Currently licensed registered nurse in California and/or active compact license
  
  


• Basic Life Support (BLS)



• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)



• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS


• Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) required within 90 days of hire


• Business Emergency Response Training (BERT) required within 90 days of hire
