Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history. Northrop Grumman is seeking a responsible Custodian to maintain our facilities at our Magna (Bacchus), UT site.
The external and internal appearance of a building reflects on the occupants. It is important for a custodian, or , to be careful and thorough in working, cleaning and tidying the premises. The ideal candidate will be experienced in a custodian role focused on building cleaning and upkeep. They will have the physical endurance required to cover a large space. A keen eye for detail and diligence are also imperative in custodial maintenance jobs.
Responsibilities:
* Ensure spaces are prepared for the next day by emptying and cleaning trash receptacles, tidying furniture and dusting surfaces
* Sweep and mop floors and vacuum carpets
* Wash and sanitize toilets, sinks and showers and restock disposables (e.g. soap, sanitary products etc.)
* Wipe mirrors and windows
* Cleaning entrances, including glass doors and floors
* Report any safety, sanitary, or fire hazards to the appropriate department
* Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
* Previous custodial experience required
* Knowledge of use of industrial cleaning equipment and appliances
* Possess working knowledge of the methods, technique, and materials used in custodial work
* Knowledge of safe use and disposal of chemical liquids and other hazardous components
* Attention to detail and conscientiousness
* Ability to climb ladders and work from heights
* Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions
* Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
* Good physical condition and strength
Basic Qualifications: *
High School Diploma or GED
* 2 years of additional education/experience
* U.S. Citizen
* Able to successfully pass background investigation and pre-employment drug screen
