Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our client's accounting team. The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for processing invoices, managing vendor payments, and maintaining accurate financial records. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process accounts payable transactions accurately and efficiently.


• Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments.


• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies.


• Maintain updated vendor files and ensure compliance with company policies.


• Respond to vendor inquiries and provide exceptional customer service via email/phone.


• Assist in month-end closing procedures and account reconciliations.


• Assist with audits and other ad-hoc projects as needed.

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of Quickbooks Online required.


• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.


• Proven experience (2+ years) working in accounts payable or general accounting.


• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.


• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel.


• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.


• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.


• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.


• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
