We are looking for a talented Material Flow Coordinator - 2nd Shift to join our team specializing in Logistics for our Components Business Segment in North Charleston, SC.


In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:



  • Acts as a formal resource coordinating other. Coordinates operations through interaction with operations management. Coordinates activities for different areas like Inbound, Outbound, Kitting, etc. based on direction from Operations management.

  • Comply with HSE standards, policies, procedures & regulations.

  • Recognize how your work may impact the environment and work to minimize the negative impact.

  • Lead HSE Training and actively engage workforce

  • Follows all applicable standard work, work instruction/process documentation and established quality procedures.

  • Raises issues to minimize cost and quality exposures.

  • Performs quality checks for damage and for discrepancies between goods and invoices.

  • Ensures clean and orderly work area, including routine housekeeping tasks and machine cleaning tasks and supports planned operator and maintenance tasks.

  • Remains flexible and performs other miscellaneous duties, as required, to meet business goals.

  • Works with peers, skilled trades and support staff to maintain and identify equipment in need of repair

  • Warehouse Inventory Control - Manages physical inventory utilizing inventory control methodologies to maintain inventory and meet customer expectations.

  • Warehouse Operations - Utilizes warehousing tools, systems, and methodologies to meet defined metrics for inbound and outbound operations of a warehouse.

  • Trade Knowledge Application - Applies knowledge of relevant trade regulations to Cummins processes and systems to minimize trade risks and costs.

  • Mode Selection - Evaluates and selects appropriate transportation mode and equipment type by lane through shipment volume analysis against business requirements to provide optimal shipping method (balance cost, quality and time).


Education, Licenses, Certifications


High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.


College, University or equivalent degree in Business, Engineering or related field preferred.


This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.


Experience



  • Requires significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience in a related field such as logistics, warehousing and third party logistics provider management.

Coordinator responsibilities:



  • Leading a group of employees to achieve goals

  • Motivating and inspiring the team by creating a positive and flexible environment

  • Making decisions and communicating clear goals and instructions to the team

  • Assigning and delegating tasks to team members based on their abilities and skills


Qualifications:



  • Microsoft office (word, excel, power-point)

  • Experience with management skills (WMS - Oracle SAP)

  • EOS Reports

  • Great communication skills

  • PIV experience (forklift, reach)


Compensation and Benefits


Base salary rate commensurate with experience. Additional benefits vary between locations and include options such as our 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan, Cash Balance Pension Plan, Medical/Dental/Life Insurance, Health Savings Account, Domestic Partners Coverage and a full complement of personal and professional benefits.
