Please review the following job description:

Deliver value added risk control services to assigned commercial clients in service territory or industry vertical. Assist Producers in the acquisition and retention of business.

Travel required: travel expenses paid, mileage reimbursed

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.
1. Impact retention of existing client base by increasing the value of the Client/McGriff partnership.
2. Lower the accident frequency and loss ratio of assigned clients as measured by contingency plan results with assigned insurance markets.
3. Assist in the acquisition of new business by participating in responses to request for broker service proposals, new business sales calls and prospect meeting with both producer staff and insurance carrier loss control staff.
4. Act as a first point of contact and resource for clients in regard to their risk management, property protection and employee safety related needs.
5. Keep abreast of risk management and occupational safety and health consulting by pursuing continuing education opportunities.
6. Develop, in a collaborative consulting approach, safety business plans with clients and insurance carrier loss control staff that impacts the client's ability to manage their safety and health processes.
7. Provide client training seminars on a regional and local basis directed at reducing the client's overall cost of risk.
8. Uses data and analytics to help clients identify loss drivers.
9. Understands and communicates all of McGriff's internal risk management resources and promotes internally and externally.
10. Regular participations in office sales meetings and frequent interaction / communication with production and marketing staff

QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's Degree
2. Five years of experience in a risk management consulting position either in private industry or Insurance company capacity or equivalent education and related training
3. Effective verbal and written communication skills
4. Ability to travel in assigned territory including overnight on a regular basis
5. Problem solving ability and negotiating skills working with senior level client staff
6. Above average interpersonal skills
7. Ability to work in a team based environment
8. Goal and result orientated
9. Ability to complete assigned tasks with minimum supervision

Preferred Qualifications:
1. Associate in Risk Management (ARM); Associate Safety Professional (ASP); Certified Safety Professional (CSP); Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS) or other nationally recognized safety certification
2. Experience in multi-line coverage and target industry business groups as defined by McGriff marketing department
3. Experience using RMIS systems and databases

The annual base salary for this position is $110,000 to $120,000. The starting hourly wage for this position is $54.24 to $57.69.

Teammates also receive no less than 10 days of vacation (prorated based on date of hire and by full-time or part-time status) during their first year of employment, along with 10 sick days (also prorated), and paid holidays. Eligible employees may have the opportunity to participate in a deferred compensation plan and/or have an ownership interest in TIH in the form of profits interest or capital interest.
