These brand-new advanced manufacturing facilities will use over 100-years of automobile manufacturing expertise, plus 30+ years of electric vehicle battery expertise to become the world’s best battery manufacturer.



The Facilities / Utilities Engineer at will have a unique, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be a key member of the start-up team, launching the facility from the ground up.



For this team- The degree is an essential aspect. Hires need to have electrical theory and be able to the tasks and calculations of an electrical engineer.  2-5 years of experience working with other engineers to come up with solutions as they develop the plant- that is the right person!  The right Electrical Engineer without all the Maintenance skills listed may be a fit. 





Key Areas of Responsibility:

Optimization of current production processes.

Coaching plants in continuous improvement, standardization, and lean concepts.

Assisting plants in addressing equipment down time issues.

Developing preventative / predictive Industrial maintenance practices to ensure 100% equipment uptime in high volume manufacturing.

Oversee PM programs for Battery Manufacturing equipment.

Assist in Equipment spare part management.

Providing input on new equipment design and purchase.

Supporting new model / equipment launch as required.



Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Industrial or Electrical / Automation engineering preferred. 

3-5 years experience in manufacturing; stamping experience preferred.

Ability to optimize equipment programs and troubleshoot issues to identify root cause.

Excellent communicator who can train both hourly and salary team members.

Must be a self-starter who will take ownership of projects and see them through to completion with limited supervision.

Ability to support any shift in a 7-day work pattern.

Candidate must be flexible to significant travel during initial plant start-up phase.

Candidate must be willing to work remotely and in-person at temporary facilities as needed during the initial plant start-up phase.

Successful candidate must be able to demonstrate leadership behaviors consisting of outstanding interpersonal, teambuilding, and communication skills.

Robot / interpress transfer (ABB / Fanuc / Gudel).

Stamping / press equipment.

Vision experience strongly preferred (Cognex).

PLC competency.

Lean implementation.

AutoCAD.
