Workday HRIS Manager (Hybrid) | Loyola Marymount University - Military Veterans

The Workday HRIS Manager will be the lead position responsible for on-going support, implementation, and integration of Workday HRIS solutions across all functions within Human Resources. The Workday HRIS Manager will be responsible for the project coordination and management of assigned tasks within Human Resources while dealing with business processes, supporting technologies, and data. Manage the day-to-day operations and overall support Workday including business process changes, human resources reporting, and production application issues; serving as the primary Workday Human Resources systems subject matter expert to inform user change requests and offer user support; providing support for user training and overall communications of changes related to Workday Human Resources; providing concise updates to leadership on progress of prioritized initiatives. The role requires a strong understanding of HCM Workday functionalities, reporting, and integrations. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, analytical and problem-solving skills, and be able to work independently and collaboratively. This position will work as part of a team to coordinate activities and deliverables across Human Resources. The Workday HRIS Manager operates under the general guidance and direction of Sr. Director of HRIS/Compensation with dotted line reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources. -As the lead of the HRIS team, will be responsible for overseeing the delivery and administration of Workday HCM modules. (HCM, Recruiting, Compensation, Benefits, Learning, Time and Absence, Payroll). Will provide guidance and mentorship to the HRIS team. - Overall responsibility for Workday HCM modules day-to-day support and strategic improvements to the university's human resource systems, working collaboratively with functional business owner, ITS, and end user community. Partner with ITS to troubleshoot errors or issues as they arise. - Support the on-going delivery of an innovative, cloud-based HR solution. Implement, design and configure the selected HRIS solution. Provide support to drive project requirements, business processes, workflows, and plans including managing timelines, communications, quality, risks, uncovering roadblocks, defining critical paths, identifying resource constraints, and any other issues that arise. Provide hands-on configuration and testing. -Coordinate across all team members of Human Resources (Recruitment, Records, Compensation, Learning, Benefits, Payroll, etc) to ensure that all members are on track with requirements, deadlines and scheduled deliverables. Meet with HR subject matter experts to identify and resolve issues or enhancements. -Manage HR data integrity and security, ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations. - Recommend and make decisions, while balancing business requirements, internal project timelines and Workday roadmaps. Embrace innovation by seeking new or contrary ideas/approaches to what has been done in the past. -Prepare status reports by gathering, analyzing and summarizing relevant information. -Establish effective project communication plans and ensuring their execution. - Evaluate releases and functionality to identify opportunities to improve and optimize the use Workday. Prepare, test, and implement Workday updates that are beneficial to LMU. -Support change management efforts related to HR technology initiatives, ensuring successful adoption across the university. -Coordinate the development of manuals, training materials and other documents as needed to enable successful implementation and turnover of the process to HR team members. - Represent LMU within the HRIS community and at professional organizations or associations, serve on committees as require. -This is a 2-year term assignment. Requisite Qualifications Typically a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Management or related field or equivalent experience. Master's degree preferred. Incumbent will be expected to continue upgrading knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to keep abreast of benefit regulation/policy changes. Minimum 7 years of demonstrated knowledge and direct Workday HCM experience in managing complex technology projects across business units. Project management experience highly desired. Subject matter expert in all modules of Workday HCM (HCM, Recruiting, Compensation, Benefits, Learning, Time and Absence, Payroll). Ability to review, analyze and configure business processes. Experience in documenting processes, as well as performing tests and audits Ability to partner and collaborate with cross functional departments. Exemplary communication skills (both written and oral). Ability to communication effectively across all levels of management and provide presentations. Ability to work with and influence various stakeholders, manage multiple changing priorities and processes. Excellent research, analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills with attention to details required. Thrive in a fast-paced environment with demanding priorities and business needs. Ability to prepare comprehensive reports and executive summaries incorporating complex, highly technical information. Highly developed organizational and leadership skills. Demonstrated advanced computer competency. LOCATION: This position will work a hybrid schedule. The incumbent must reside within the state of California and work from the office a minimum of two to three days per week. #HERC# #HEJ# Staff Term (Fixed Term) Salary range $91,500.00 - $136,800.00 Salary commensurate with education and experience.
