The Yale School of Nursing ( www.nursing.yale.edu ) invites applications from (and nominations of) highly qualified candidates for a Clinical Ladder Track (Assistant or Associate Professor) faculty position specializing in Midwifery.Our Midwifery Program is renowned for its commitment to excellence in education, clinical practice, and research. We a seek PhD/DNP-prepared (or equivalent) faculty member with academic experience, a productive program of scholarship, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to better health for all people through quality advanced practice and doctoral-level nursing education. A focus on scholarship addressing current clinical challenges in midwifery is desired. This position represents an unparalleled opportunity with the resources necessary to become one of the leaders of our outstanding midwifery program. The successful candidate will have teaching, clinical, and administrative responsibilities within the Midwifery Program at YSN. These responsibilities may include directing the YSN Midwifery clinical practice or the YSN Midwifery Program, depending on experience and qualifications. Principle Responsibilities: Develop and deliver innovative and engaging curriculum for midwifery students. Provide clinical instruction and supervision to students in various healthcare settings. Contribute to the advancement of midwifery knowledge through research and scholarly activities. Participate in administrative duties such as curriculum development, student advising, and committee work. Collaborate with other faculty members to enhance the overall quality of the Midwifery Program. Engage in community outreach and professional development activities to promote the field of midwifery.
