Inventory Control Assistant III - Military Veterans

Summary





Performs various functions concerned with receipt, disposition, and distribution of parts and equipment. Responsible for procurement of parts when necessary and guides Material Control Coordinators.





Duties and Responsibilities






  • Receives, ships and performs packaging and related activities necessary to receive and ship non-productive and productive material or products.

  • Checks materials, quantities, serial numbers, weights, security classifications, general condition of incoming and outgoing shipments and area packaging activities against applicable paperwork.

  • Prepares records of materials shipped and bills of lading; posts weight and shipping charges; and routes merchandise to destinations.

  • Fills orders for required equipment to be shipped to customer. Ensures availability of required parts; verifies received parts meets required specifications; researches parts lists, drawings, service manuals, for correct part name, number, etc. for receiving parts.

  • Processes excess equipment.

  • Updates computer records of inventory.

  • May perform other duties as required.

  • Conducts activities in a safe and healthy manner and works in accordance with established HS&E requirements to ensure the protection of employees, the public, and the environment.

  • Takes actions necessary to ""stop"" work when an unsafe condition or action is identified. Every employee has the right and responsibility to stop work when unsafe conditions or actions are identified.






You Must Have






  • Two years or more of Inventory Control Experience

  • U.S. Citizen in order to obtain & maintain government security clearances
