Please review the following job description:

Provide the Government Affairs and Regulatory team assistance tracking, analyzing and cataloging financial services related policies, laws, and regulations. Responsibilities will include covering policy developments, Congressional and regulatory processes, engaging with the various trade associations, gathering data and conducting research and providing administrative support.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job.  Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below.  Specific activities may change from time to time.  
1.    Track Congressional and Regulatory activities related to financial services policy, laws and regulations.
2.    Organize, review, track (as necessary), and analyze large volumes of detailed information.
3.    Perform moderately complex research, apply results to facts, and develop and communicate findings.
4.    Summarize matters, including regulatory proposals, hearings, speeches, and testimony.  
5.    Maintain and update files, forms, databases, and records, including FEC PAC related resources. 
6.    Interact in person and virtually on a professional level with other departments, internal and external clients, outside counsel, vendors, and others, including managers and regulators.
7.    Prepare documents for production to regulators.


QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:

1.    Bachelor’s degree. 
2.    2 or more years of Congressional, trade association or other experience in financial services policy related field.   
3.    Understanding of Congressional process, financial services policy, terminology, and principles, financial services regulatory structure, etc.  
4.    Basic understanding of federal regulatory rulemaking process is strongly preferred.
5.    Strong analytical thinking skills with the ability to identify and define issues, establish facts, analyze complex information, and develop substantiated conclusions with minimal supervision
6.    Strong communication skills with the ability to express complex facts and principles clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.     
7.    Creative problem-solving skills with ability to identify and resolve complex problems in a timely manner seeking input of others as needed
8.    Strong leadership and relationship management skills with the ability to positively influence others and achieve desired results
9.    Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet multiple deadlines
10.    Strong organizational and project management skills; attention to detail and accuracy
11.  Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products
 

The annual base salary for this position is $80,550 - $90,000.
